LEASY
Lease-to-own cars for ride-hailing drivers in Latin America. Drivers rent the car, repay automatically from their ride income, and own it at the end of the term. LEASY has 3,500+ cars on the road and opened its Series B to Dutch investors through Dutch Dragons.
LEASY (Leasy NewCo B.V. for the Dutch round · Latin America (Peru, Mexico, Ecuador and more), Dutch round from the Netherlands

The situation
LEASY was raising a Series B of about $30M and wanted to bring Dutch investors into it. That meant a Dutch route in: no Dutch entity, no platform environment, no Dutch-language materials, and no way for a retail investor to hold a stake in their holding company. Investors also had sharp questions that a retail audience will ask, such as how dependent LEASY is on Uber data and how the lease-to-own term works.
The round ran through the Dutch Dragons partnership.
What we did
- 1
Materials
Built the crowd pitch deck (12 slides, Dutch) and an extended deck (18 pages) from one canonical numbers sheet, so every figure has a traceable source. Ran a pitch review on the story and flagged what a retail investor would trip over. Prepared a source map, a designer brief and a sign-off checklist before anything went to design.
- 2
Structure
Mapped the chain from investor to certificate to STAK to Leasy NewCo B.V. to LEASY Holdings, and double checked the certificate maths: 50,000 certificates, one issue price for everyone, and a clear split between the crowd and Dutch Dragons.
- 3
Platform
Set up the campaign environment: the full governance check and field mapping, the key investor information sheet (EBI in Dutch, KIIS in English), member types, and welcome and thank-you messages in both languages. Built the campaign tabs in one design system, with a public teaser and the detailed pitch, team and financial tabs behind login.
- 4
Information access
Designed three levels of access, so the right people saw the right depth. Level 1: high-level information, visible to everyone. Level 2: more detail for anyone with a user account on the platform. Level 3: in-depth information in decks that only logged-in users could open, set up so they could not be copied or forwarded. On top of that, deep dives (the due diligence Q&A) were available on request for larger-ticket investors. This was the most demanding part of the build, because every level had to stay consistent with the others.
- 5
Investors
Collected the founder's own answers to investor due diligence questions (data access, churn, contract term, ramp-up in new markets) and turned them into a verified knowledge base, so the same question gets the same answer every time. Larger-ticket investors could get those answers in a deep dive on request.
What happened
The outcome. The full €5M was raised in 4 days, between Monday 21 September at 13:00 and Friday 25 September at 13:00, from 1,099 investors, with Dutch Dragons counted as one. Dutch Dragons committed €500k of that. €5M is the cap for a round under ECSPR, and the round hit it. That makes it a Dutch record for the fastest €5M raised through equity crowdfunding.
What was less smooth. Getting every number identical across all materials, and having the KIIS finished at the right moment, which took weekend work.
After the round filled. Plenty of interested people were still left, including bigger tickets of €100k and up. We put them on a list. Investments of €100k and up can be made outside the prospectus requirement, which means LEASY can go above the €5M cap with them.
“Fundraising is never easy, but this was by far one of the smoothest €5 million we've ever raised. What made it even more special was being able to open up our journey to a much broader community and bring so many people along with us.”
